Coach Belfi

Coach Belfi is a John Jay graduate and soccer alumni.  He graduated from John Jay in 2002, where he played both soccer and wrestled. After John Jay, Coach Belfi went on to Springfield College in Massachusetts to obtain his Bachelors in Physical Education with a minor in Health Studies. During his time at Springfield College he coached JV soccer at Longmeadow High School in Longmeadow, MA for two seasons. In his two seasons at Longmeadow he had a team that went 3-10-2 in his first year coaching and then turned that around to a 10-3-5 record the second year. That record was good enough to win the JV Western Massachusetts Valley League. After two seasons at Longmeadow, Coach Belfi took over the Varsity Wrestling team at East Longmeadow High School in East Longmeadow, MA. Following graduation from Springfield College he taught Physical Education and Health at Mary A. Dryden Veterans Memorial School in Springfield, MA and continued coaching East Longmeadow wrestling. This past year Coach Belfi accepted a Graduate Assistantship at Springfield College and completed his Masters degree in Athletic Administration. Coach Belfi has six total years of coaching experience and played for Coach Seipp during his time at John Jay.
